This paper is designed primarily for native speakers of Chinese and is taught bilingually. It aims to improve students' bilingual reading ability and to develop students' ability to translate between English and Chinese language.

这是一门专为中国学生设计的双语课程,旨在提高学生的英汉阅读能力和英汉互译能力。

Corpus-based tools will be used to explore different texts in terms of individual words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs and discourse so that learners can better understand the texts in both English and Chinese. Moodle activities and hands-on tutorials are an important component of this course.

本课程将借助语料库学习系统从单词、词组、句子、段落以及篇章的层面剖析不同文体,帮助学习者掌握阅读以及翻译不同文章的技巧。网上活动以及课堂练习是本课程的重要组成部分。

CHINE306-22A (HAM) is offered in FLEXI mode. Lecture part is on Moodle and students are required to attend one Zoom or face-to-face tutorial per week. The schedule is on Moodle.
